Title: London City Airport.
Description: The Royal Docks closed in 1981 and work on the £30m airport project began in 1983. The first commercial service lifted off from the STOLport (Short Take Off and Landing) in 1987. It runways are the long strip between the Royal Albert and the King George V Docks. Now known as London City Airport, it is located just six miles from the City of London and three miles from Canary Wharf.
