| Description: The picture shows a variety of small vessels trapped in the Pool of London during the frost of February 1895. Although trade did not come to a complete standstill as in the days of the frost fairs, the ice floes immobilised lighters, barges and sailing ships. Only steamers could pass through the river unimpeded. |
