| Description: The jetty at Beckton Gas Works was over 400 yards (365m) in length. Steam colliers carrying coal from the north of England moored at the jetty in order to be unloaded. Hydraulic cranes were used to fill trolleys with coal that were then conveyed along the jetty to the works. |
