Description: The Air Raid Precaution (ARP) Wardens were responsible for patrolling London during the Blitz. They were there to enforce the 'Blackout' and ensure that no lights were visible that could be used by enemy planes to help them locate targets. ARP Wardens also helped organise the emergency services' response to the air-raids.
