Title: Laying the keel of HMS Thunderer.
Description: The keel of HMS 'Thunderer' was laid at the Thames Ironworks on 16 April 1910 on the same building slip as HMS 'Warrior', some 50 years earlier. The slip had to be lengthened and greatly strengthened to take the weight of the 'Thunderer'.
