Description: The full title of this engraving is 'John Harrison. From an engraving by Tassaert, published in 1768, after a painting by King. Under the superintendance of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge.' After many years of experimentation, Harrison's H4 chronometer finally solved the longtitude question.
