Title: Aerial view of Deptford Creek.
Description: A contemporary aerial view of Deptford Creek, where the River Ravensbourne flows into the Thames. To the east of the Creek (to the left in the photograph) was the shipbuilding yard of J & G Rennie. The original mooring spot of the 'Dreadnought' Seamen's Hospital (and of the smallpox hospital ships in 1881-82) was just east of this yard. The buildings of the Royal Naval Hospital and the National Maritime Museum are on the far left of the picture.
