LONDON STREET
This is now known as Greenwich High Road, between Greenwich Station
and St Alphege’s Church. It was the main shopping street in
Greenwich. It had shops on both sides, with tobacconists, dairymen,
drapers, confectioners, sewing machine makers, milliners and bakers.
The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children had
offices at 90 London Street.
